Lotte Town Dongtan presents a new paradigm for the coexistence of nature, people, and the city. The centrality of the complex was emphasized by arranging a linear street mall on the east-west pedestrian path that penetrates the complex. It becomes a symbolic landmark of the region with various events and high-tech facilities while forming a complex of shopping, culture, housing, and work. The facade, inspired by traditional Korean elements, and the elevation panel pattern were designed, starting with concerns about how to express the forest architecturally through the concept keyword "Forest: Road to Nature."
